A BRIEF HISTORY OF Albertine WINE BAR
Albertine Wine Bar has opened its door to the public in 1974. “Providers of great wines and unpretentiousness” has been its motto for many years. A local hang out for residents of the Shepherds Bush community, Albertine has also provided an out-of-office desk and wine-induced inspiration to many writers, journalist, producers and creatives of the nearby BBC headquarter.
in March 2022 Albertine went through an extensive renovation and now has a restaurant at the first floor and two chefs at its helm Allegra McEvedy (founder of Leon) and Rob Freddi (ex Native, Rochelle Cantine, Blackfoot, Ace Hotel etc.)
We have 150 + bottles on our wine list and our food is designed to complement the great work of the winemakers we admire. Our focus is on Italian and French cuisine, using top quality seasonal ingredients. Our style is unfussed and we aim to bold and complex flavours in simple seasonal dishes.
We have a bar menu and a restaurant menu and we change them weekly so you never get bored of cooking the same dishes, we are closed on Sundays so you always get a weekend day to rest and spend time with your family and friends!
CDP PREREQUISITES
-Must have a genuine interest in wine and food and willingness to inspire and learn from the team.
-Must have flexible schedule
and the ability to work unsupervised and on weekends.
-Must have 3 + years experience in a professional kitchen
KP PREREQUISITES
-Must have flexible schedule and the ability to work unsupervised and on weekends.
- Must have stamina and be organised
-must have worked in a small restaurant and understand team work
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR BOTH ROLES
Extended periods of walking, standing, and directing will be required. Must have ability and willingness to work extended hours to ensure continuous service and customers satisfaction. Must have the ability to lift up to 15kg on an occasional to frequent basis.
