We are a friendly family living in a house with a garden in the old village of East Finchley ~12 minutes walk from East Finchley tube station. We are looking for someone to start working with us from the end of February/beginning of March.
We have 2 boys at primary school – our eldest is 11 and will be starting secondary school in September; the youngest will be 8 in July.
We both work part-time/flexi-time and are looking for someone to do pick ups from school, childcare, housework, and cooking.
You do not need to have any formal childcare qualifications as the most important thing for us is finding someone who enjoys children’s company and who is trustworthy, intelligent and calm. We would however require you to become registered, which includes DBS and first aid certificates and a 2 day nanny course)
About the hours
Although we would like to find someone for around 2-3 years – please do apply if you are able to commit to at least 1 year. The hours would suit someone who is able to be flexible with hours and may well suit a student or a freelancer. Our current nanny is a freelance illustrator (she has been with us for nearly 8 years and is leaving to work fulltimeas an illustrator). The hours are:
A. During school term - 5 afternoons per week from 3.30pm to 6.30pm.
B. During the school holidays - 2 days per week from 8 am to 6 pm.
It would be possible for 2 different people to share the job so please get in touch even if you can only do some of the hours. You must:
• Be or be happy to become registered (DBS and first aid certificates and a 2 day nanny course)
• Speak good English
• Be able to provide references
If you are interested in this job, please send us a covering letter, your CV, and contact details. A photo of yourself would be much appreciated.
