A bright 9 year old prep school boy in Notting Hill seeks a kind, smart and energetic sole charge tutor/nanny. The candidate must have excellent spoken and written English, including grammar, and highly numerate with relevant tutoring experience plus excellent UK references. They are looking for someone who is kind, caring, trustworthy, reliable, well organised, good communicator, a team player with strong values and are confident about being a mentor/in a position of leadership. It would be ideal to enjoy reading, and an interest in science, chess, swimming, cycling, Hockey or music is a bonus. Responsibilities will be to chaperone the boy to, and from, school and after school activities in London; liaise with the school teachers on behalf of the parents; supervise homework and extension lessons in English, mathematics and reasoning; visit libraries, museums, galleries, theatres, cinemas and play games. No domestic duties. During school term working hours will be Monday to Friday from 4:30pm–7:00pm (12.5 hrs/week) and during school holidays: Monday to Friday from 8:00am-6:00pm (55 hrs/week). Dates of the school terms and school holidays will be specified at the start of the contract. This is a live out role and offered salary is £12.00 – £20.00 per hour depending on ability and experience in tutoring (28 days annual leave and sick leave). Interviewing now.
