Magical Maths is a fun after school maths club, and we are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about working with Primary School children.
So.what is it exactly?
Magical Maths is an after-school programme designed to develop children’s perception of, and confidence in maths. We visit Primary Schools all across the Boroughs of Ealing and Hillingdon.
Each week has a single, one hour session and covers a variety of educational topics in a fun and exciting way. The clubs include some dressed up characters that will visit the schools from week to week, including a maths detective, a maths genius, the mathletes, and a mathemagician.
This is maths, but not as you know it….be prepared to have some serious fun!
Lessons and holiday schools, duties will include :
• You will be responsible for a class of children.
• You will be responsible for registering the children, and ensuring they are safely collected by their parents/guardians at the end of the lesson.
• You will be responsible for a team of teaching support staff, and ensure they are prepared.
• You will ensure the Magical Maths lesson content is delivered correctly, and that learning objectives are being achieved.
• You will ensure the lessons are conducted in a fun yet safe manner.
• You will ensure that you and your support staff have all the resources required for each activity (as provided by Magical Maths), and that everything is prepared in advance of the lessons.
• You will ensure that you have a strong relationship with the contact in each school (usually the Head Teacher or the Maths Coordinator). You will be their direct point of contact.
• You will be the first point of contact for the parents/guardians of the children in your classes. You must be prepared to provide feedback to them about their child’s performance as and when requested.

DBS certificate is essential.
You must be willing to travel to schools around the Boroughs of Ealing and Hillingdon.
We go into Primary Schools after school and run a 1 hour fun maths class, usually around 3:30 - 4:30 though some schools have different times. Must be available from 2:30pm onwards.
We want people who can work 3 or more afternoons a week.
You must be impeccably reliable and punctual.

Payment details: £90/150 per 6 hour programme (1 hour a week).

Salary: £15.00 to £25.00 /hour
