Hello,
We are looking for an after school and holiday nanny to look after our school going son. This is an ideal role for a student or someone older only wanting to work afternoons most of the time but with flexibility to work full-time during the school holidays during which time they will earn a higher pay. We are open to a live-in or live-out position so can also offer free accommodation if required.
About Us
We are a family of four- Mum, Dad, our seven year old son and our friendly cat.
• We both work dad full-time and mum part-time
• Our son is in school 10 minutes walk from home
• We live in a moderate size four bedroom house 5 minutes walk from Notting Hill Gate tube station
• We travel to Italy, France and the English countryside during the school holidays and will expect you to travel with us and help to look after our son full time during those periods. We are often away for up to 2 weeks at a time so applicants should be open to travelling for that long.
What we are looking for
We would like to welcome someone in our family who is fun, kind and reliable.
Term time work days and duties – Mon-Fri 15:00 -19:30
• Collect our son from school at 15:30 with a snack. School is ten minutes walk from our house
• Engage with Marcello in educational activities: support homework, play at the park, play board games and Lego at home
• Ensure Marcello is on time at any activities he has planned (e.g. Martial arts club, guitar lessons, etc.)
• Prepare his dinner, get him ready for bed including bath
• Babysit for around 1 night per week (we are normally back until 11:30)
• Driving license – nice to have but not essential - school, parks, shops are all walking distance or a short bus ride away
• You should be able to build a relationship with the children and maintain discipline in a firm but fun way
• Proficient English speaker - should be able to converse, understand instructions and engage with the children
• Higher level of education preferred and/or at least ability to help with homework (reading, maths, comprehension, grammar)
Holiday work days and duties – Mon-Fri 9:00 -19:00
Mornings (9 am start):
• Help with getting Marcello dressed and ready for the day
• Supervise homework as required
• Accompany Marcello to various activities (e.g. Tennis camp, swim camp, playdates, etc.)
• Engage and play with Marcello for the remainder of the time and/or take him to parks, museums, etc.
What you get
We will make you feel welcome in the family. We are open to have a live-in or live-out solution.
• If you opt out for live-in you will have your own bedroom and shower wet-room as well as bathroom (shared with our son) and access to home Wi-Fi
• You will be able to help yourself to food at home
If you choose to live-out you will be expected to do the same number of hours and to live-in at our holiday accommodation with us when we are away from home
Pay - £10 + per hour (flexible for the right candidate, please do apply)
