After School and Holiday Nanny Job

Posted: 44 days ago
Place: Camden, London

Friendly, relaxed Camden family seek after school and school holiday nanny for two days a week for our two boys aged 5 and 8, starting July/ August 2022.
Our current nanny will sadly be leaving us after 7 years, so we are looking for a new nanny with excellent rapport with children, sound reliability and a good sense of fun and energy.
In term time the role will involve collecting children at 3.30pm in St John’s Wood 2 days a week, bringing them home for supper, homework, music practice and bath, finishing at 7pm (with 10pm finish once a fortnight an optional extra). In the school holidays, the role will start at 8am and finish at 7pm 2 days a week, with the nanny taking the children to activities, play dates, camps etc. There will be some light household duties e.g. Tidying kitchen and play areas as well as occasional general household duties such as letting tradesmen in.
Details of the role: the nanny will work 2 days across Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. We will need fix these days once agreed. Pay will be £12 after tax, we pay the NI and tax. Term time around 33 weeks a year, school holidays will be around 13 weeks a year of work for the nanny, with 6 weeks paid holiday to be agreed within schools holidays at 7 hrs per week. We live near Morning Crescent tube station and school for the boys is in St John’s Wood (30mins by bus/ walk). Annual take home pay for those interested, including the optional fortnightly babysitting to 10pm, would be around £7,500.
Details of the person we are looking for: you should be someone with considerable experience looking after children as backed up by strong references; a non smoker; ideally a driver with a clean driving licence; a competent cook and have excellent written and oral English. We are looking for a long term arrangement to build on the 7 years with our previous nanny, so please don’t apply if you are only looking for a temporary role. We are also looking for someone reasonably local, so you should live within 30mins Mornington Crescent station.
Details of the family: we are both working professionals, who leave the house at just after 8am and return around 6.45pm, so you will be in sole charge. We live in a Camden townhouse with large basement playroom for the boys to play in. The boys have lots of energy and enjoy doing a large variety of activities including sports and trips around London.
Please send your CV and references. First interview by telephone.
