New opportunity not to be missed! EMP Publishing Ltd has an exciting opportunity available for an Advertising Sales Executive to join our growing team based in Farringdon. We are offering a Good Basic Salary + Commission. OTE £50,000.
EMP Publishing LTD create outstanding and award-winning print and digital content including celebrity lifestyle, homes, health, parenting and entertainment titles. One of our leading titles is ‘The view’, the official onboard travel magazine for National Express. Along with the VUER app, ‘The view’ is read by up to 20 million captive readers per year who enjoy pages packed with what to see, what to buy, what to do, where to eat and the latest travel trends.
In addition to being the creative team behind ‘The view’, we also have a dedicated advertising sales team delivering a range of print-led, multi-media campaigns. This team is growing fast and we’re looking to add an additional Advertising Sales Executive into our London office.
The Advertising Sales Executive Role
Although this role will be part of a team, you will also be expected to manage customer and business development with a reasonable degree of autonomy. You’ll also be accountable for individual sales and activity targets. For these reasons we’d prefer you to already have sales experience and a great list of contacts as well as proven skills in a predominantly phone and email based sales environment.
Key Responsibilities of our Advertising Sales Executive.
- Actively seeking new advertising opportunities from direct clients.
- Taking an insight-led approach to prepare and pitch proposals which sell the features and benefits of ‘The view’.
- Identifying and building a pipeline of new prospects using a variety of lead generation tools including our own CRM system.
- Carrying out regular fact-finding exercises in order to gain a clear understanding of customers’ businesses, their requirements and their competitors.
- Maintaining print and digital yields.
- Converting irregular business to regular series advertising and co-ordinated sales features.
- Maintaining a knowledge of competitive titles including new media, other newspapers, magazines, directories etc.
- Contributing to feature-led editorial ideas and their accompanying sales strategy.
