Adult Daily Smokers Invited to Test new Quit Aids for Android Smartphones Amazon Voucher

Do you smoke 10 or more cigarettes per day? Do you want to quit or to cut down? Do you own an Android smartphone?
We are inviting adults who smoke to test a personal carbon monoxide monitor and a new app for Android smartphones that works with it.
*The study involves:*
a) An interview at UCL [between Euston Square, Goodge St and Russell Square stations] (60min)
b) Testing of the app and CO Monitor for 7 days while trying to cut down on smoking
c) Keeping a diary on CO Monitor use for 7 days
d) Telephone interview after 7 days (around 30min)
e) Completing short baseline and follow-up surveys
Dates and times: throughout June, times for interviews between 9am and 6pm.
*About the Interview: *
We are developing a new app to help people quit smoking or cut down using a personal carbon monoxide (CO) monitor that connects to an Android smartphone and can monitor progress with quitting and cutting down. We would like to learn about your views and ideas on the current app prototype, and how we could improve it.
*Who can participate:*
(a) You must be 18 +, (b) smoke at least 10 cig/day, (c) be interested to use an app and CO monitor device as an aid to quit, (d) be happy to complete study procedures, (e) own an Android smartphone (4.1 or later), (f) have normal or corrected vision, (g) and speak good or fluent English.
You will receive a personal CO monitor for the study and future use, and will be reimbursed for your time with a £100 Amazon gift voucher upon completing the study.
