Posted: Today
Place: Greenwich, Greater London

A good Activity Leader is the lifeblood of any great summer centre - and we are looking to recruit the best. You should have an outgoing personality, flexible attitude and Activity Leaders should be fun to be around and like to work with young people, especially teenagers. They must have a detailed knowledge of London. The job involves working with children and therefore you will need to have a fun outlook and the ability to engage and motivate young people, be communicative and well-spoken with good time-keeping abilities.
You will be working as part of a team which consists of Teachers, Administration staff, group leaders and (of course) other Activity Leaders, so great people skills will be essential.
You will be taking the students around London, to all the major touristic sites, museums and galleries. In the evenings we will hold quiz nights, disco / karaoke parties and trips to the cinema, so the student’s day (and yours) will be ram packed with fun things to do.
We will also offer sports sessions (football, rugby, tennis etc), art sessions and drama workshops - so if you have a particular skillset that you feel would be useful for the role then just let us know in your covering letter.
The post is residential - you will be staying in the same blocks as the students to supervise them during their stay in London. You will be provided with full training + uniform.
If you have an up to date DBS that will be helpful, but we can always apply for one on your behalf.
Working knowledge of first aid and child safety is essential - once again if you don't have this not to worry, we can arrange the training before you start the job.
The role can be hectic at times - but with the right team we will make this the summer to remember.
Benefits include: weekly travelcard, en-suite accommodation and meals.
Your role:

Activities and Excursion preparation - supervised by the Activity Manager.

Candidates will need to undergo the necessary DBS police checks and any gaps in work history will need to be explained. 2 types of official identification and certificates (either originals or certified copies) will be required for our records.
Insight Study is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We have a comprehensive Child Protection Policy and procedures in place which all employees, volunteers and contractors are expected to adhere to.
