DESCRIPTION OF ROLE
Job Description:
A skilled and motivated full-time bookkeeper is required to join a team in Barking at a Cash and Carry. The role's primary function will be responsibility for the day-to-day financial operations of the business. The position is integral to the business and the main responsibilities will include:
•Manage Accounts Payable inc. Processing supplier payments and keeping track of any returns/refunds/credits due
•Control of Purchase Ledger
• Credit Control
•Update and manage accounting software to ensure the company`s accounts and contract records are kept up to date as well as Bank Reconciliations and ensuring client ‘Project’ information is current and accurate
•Ensure profit forecast is up-to-date
•Assisting in the Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts and Reports for Directors
•Preparation of documentation required for VAT returns
• General Admin Support
To be suitable for this role you will:
•Be proficient in Outlook, Excel, SAGE and experience of Cash Flow would be preferable but not essential as training will be provided.
•You will have a strong track record with experience in a previous bookkeeper role
•Demonstrate good time management skills and excellent attention to detail
•Be self-motivated, personable and an all-round team player.
