Accounts Assistant

Due to the continued growth of our business it has led to an increased demand on our finance function and we are looking for an Accounts Assistant who thrives on working in a high scale impact environment. This will be an exciting opportunity for the right person to make their mark within a small motivated team.
Within this role you will be responsible for the following and not limited to:
Receiving, coding and posting supplier invoices
Raising customer invoices
VAT preparation
Preparing monthly payroll for authorisation
Liaising with suppliers and customers
Checking and posting staff expenses
Preparing supplier payments run for approval
Bank reconciliations
Raising and monitoring purchase orders
Management of company credit cards, including coding and posting
Issuing customer statements
Ad-hoc credit control
Liaising with sales and account management teams to carry out necessary responsibilities
Assisting with month end financial reporting requirements
Weekly/monthly revenue reporting to the MD
Requirements
Full understanding and extensive experience of Quick Books and PNN
Excellent data entry/book keeping skills with at least 3 years of consecutive
Great organisational skills, ability to manage own time and priorities workloads
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a good understanding of accounts process
Ability to identify process improvements with an Analytical and proactive approach.
Positive and friendly attitude
Excellent IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Purchase Ledger/Sales
Ability to complete VAT Returns
Benefits:
28 days holiday (including bank holidays )
Our working hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00 with occasional overtime when required.
