TITLE:              Accounts and audit semi senior.
Location:     88 Crawford street, london w1 h 2ej.
Hours:           monday to friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Salary:          25-30k pa
1.      Company background
Cameron Baum is a two partner West End practice of Chartered Accountants. We have a wide range of business and personal clients and pride ourselves on superb client service from the time the client calls or enters our office to the time they receive their finished product of accounts or other advice.  The firm’s partners are Daniel Baum and Geoffrey Hollander.
2.      Job background
The company has always maintained technical staff at different levels, abilities and experience to enable the work to be allocated to staff with the right skill set, whilst allowing them the opportunity to gain experience and develop in their careers.
3.      Job Objective
The objective of this role is to prepare and be involved in accounts and audit assignments and to support the senior and managers in preparing more complex accounts jobs and audit assignments.
4.      Prime responsibilities
O   Bookkeeping analysis (10%)
O   Preparation of final statutory accounts (40%)
O   Assistance on company audits (30%)
O   Other work including tax and credit analysis (20%)

5.      Technical knowledge
The job holder will require the following technical skills, some of which can be learned “on the job”:
·         ACCA/ACA part qualified or finished exams but requires work experience.
·         Some corporate and personal tax knowledge, from exams as a minimum.
·         Microsoft Windows platforms
·         Microsoft Office
·         Virtual Cabinet document management system.
·         IRIS practice suite
·         SAGE/Xero/bookkeeping packages – good working knowledge.
·         Other accounts packages – working knowledge and ability to extract reports.
·         Working knowledge of other common operating systems and software applications.

·         Be enthusiastic and willing to work overtime when required.

7.      Kpis
The success of the job holder will be assessed against the following:
·         File reviews on individual jobs.
·         Job assessments with job manager on all jobs over half a day.
·         Technical accuracy of product output.
·         Personal presentation
·         Quality of emails and written correspondence.

8.      Review
The job holder will be reviewed after 3 months and then every 12 months in terms of their ability to establish and develop in this vital role.
