Small accountancy practice, very well established (over 50 years), looking for an accountant to join. At present the partner is a sole practitioner with 5 full time + 1 part time staff. Clients are diverse with no particular specialised area and range from basic tax return to small companies with turnovers up to approximately. £5m. The firm are looking for someone to replace their second in command, to share some of the work load and help with the practice development. Looking for someone fairly recently qualified ACCA who trained whilst working in practice with good tax knowledge. Initial salary depending on experience and qualifications in region of £30k to £40k. Basic work will involve completing company/sole trader/partnership accounts and tax returns mainly from TB onwards. Submitting returns/accounts to HMRC/Companies House. Company secretarial submissions. Managing account assistants and checking VAT Returns. Dealing direct with clients queries on a daily basis. Managing some clients on quarterly basis and look to see how we can expand our services to them.
