An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced ABA tutor to support several pupils on the autistic spectrum. The role is to work within a separate SEN department inside the main school building. You will be offering support to pupils aged between 5-11 on the autistic spectrum, making use of the excellent facilities available at the school.
Person Specification
1 + Year experience working with children on the autistic spectrum.
6 + Months experience working with ABA
DBS on the update service (full guidance can be given on how to apply for one if needed)
A proven track record of success along with a passion to make a positive impact on children’s lives.
Candidates with the following training/qualifications are strongly advised to apply: Psychology Degree, Autism Awareness, Autism and Behaviour, Understanding Autism.
You will be focusing and analysing the principles that explain how learning takes place. You will use techniques for increasing useful behaviours and reduce those that may cause harm or interfere with learning.
The school believes every learner has the potential to develop skills beyond their current level and should be free of behaviours and activities that cause injury, pain or limit opportunities for full community involvement.
In the latest OFSTED report, the school was judged ‘Outstanding’. This is a direct result of the skill, commitment and determination of many individuals bonded together as a team with one aim – improving the lives of the children and families that they are associated with.
