Our client is seeking a part-time ABA shadow for their daughter entering Year 1 in September. The ABA programme is not a traditonal behavioural programme, more of a West Coast USA programme focusing on Zones of Regulation and cognitive therapy. They would like a tutor experienced in both of these therapies.
The girl is high-functinoning and bright. She spends some time in the class with peers and has one to one learning using her programs. She struggles with attention and at times has meltdowns. Redirection and reducing demands when stressed are the best ways to deal with difficult situations.
The hours are Thursday 8:30am-1pm and Friday 8:30am-12pm. Rate of pay depends on tutor's experience and training, £15-30 per hour. The school is located in Fulham. There will be a Team Meeting every week or every other week, time and day to be determined.
Candidates shall:
Have the right to work in the UK
Have a clear DBS
Have experience working with children with additional needs, especially autism
Be a team player
September start. Interviews as soon as possible.
