Daisy Chain recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of an excellent private day nursery located in the Lewisham area. The nursery, which is currently rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, is a purpose built recently renovated setting which provides a safe environment for children. The nursery offers extra curriculum activities which include Dance, French Lessons and Tennis to improve the children’s mental and physical well-being.
The 3rd in Charge vacancy is based in the Toddler Room and will be a full time permanent position. This is a perfect opportunity for a Room manager or Room leader to further their professional development and take the next step in their career or for a current 3rd in charge looking for a new challenge.
Requirements to be considered for the role:
• Previous experience in the same or similar role
• At least a level 3 in childcare or equivalent qualification.
• Good communication skills and an ability to lead
Duties will include:
• To work within the EYFS framework at all times
• To assist the Nursery manager and Deputy manager in providing leadership of the nursery
• Provide regular feedback on staff performance to management
• To assist the other staff members with the children and encouraging learning and play
• To provide the children with the highest standards of care
• Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues
• Ensuring health, safety and wellbeing of the children at all times
• Instilling trust with the parents and keeping up communication
• To lead the planning, assessment and implementation of the EYFS curriculum
• Contribute towards achieving nursery occupancy targets
