Days and Hours: Average of 8 hours a day, less if have had a bad night with Jamie.
Snap have a great opportunity to join a family for one week during their holiday to the Isle of Wight. The family will be travelling from their London home on the 18th August and will be accompanying them. You will be supporting their almost 10 year old son Jamie who has a superb sense of humour, loves cars and enjoys making new friends.
Jamie has Global Developmental Delay, (currently at the developmental age of a 2 year old) has epilepsy and uses a walker. The family are looking for someone confident spending time with Jamie and comfortable taking him out in his walker to explore the outside world. Jamie enjoys books, playing with his Toys and going for drives in the car.
The role would suit someone who is upbeat and fun, but someone who also has the maturity to calm Jamie down as he can become overwhelmed by too much excitement. The family may like you to listen out for Jamie a few nights during the week as he does tend to wake up. They will not expect you to look after Jamie a lot in the day if you have been up in the night with him.
The family will give you time opportunity to explore the local area. You will have your own bedroom and there will be a shared bathroom.
