Wanted: Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer

Red River's client is currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer (Site based) to provide specialist technical advice and support on geotechnical matters for a prestigious development.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for a team of two engineers and CAD support in providing specialist technical advice and support on geotechnical matters.
* Review earthworks activities in relation to the design criteria.
* Confirm acceptability of ground conditions regarding earthworks and bridge construction.
* Review the geotechnical aspects of bridge construction.
* Review earthworks and geotechnical testing and assist in closing out NCRs

Qualifications, skills & experience:

* Candidates should be enthusiastic, self-motivated and technically proficient.
* Degree qualified (or equivalent) and Chartered.
* Able to design and deliver geotechnical engineering solutions on major and/or complex projects.
* Strategic thinker with proven experience of developing and implementing creative and successful engineering solutions.
* Previous site experience on the construction of major infrastructure projects.
* Able to understand the balance of engineering priorities on differing projects.
* Able to quickly develop successful client relationships.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines is essential.
* Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal).

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 p/a + benefits package
