The Anchor at Walberswick in Suffolk is seeking two bright, ambitious, personable FRONT OF HOUSE staff for our charming country pub 400 yards from the beach near Southwold in Suffolk. Working in a small team and creating a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with prompt, well informed service we are hoping to establish very high levels of service and customer satisfaction. The food that we produce will be top quality, locally sourced (often organically produced) and will cater for our 45 cover restaurant, three small bars and a terrace with a BBQ. We also have a large garden and an enclosed wood as part of our business.
Mark Dorber, formerly of The White Horse SW6 and a beer industry guru, and his wife Sophie are the owners of The Anchor and are keen to build a strong dedicated team to promote both beer and food and wine and food matching as well as turning the Anchor into a comfortable, civilised country pub (with 11 letting rooms).
We have an organic allotment where we grow salad leaves, squashes, courgettes, herbs etc.
Musical events, art and sculpting exhibitions, food and drink festivals will be high on the agenda for The Anchor in the coming year.
