Our client is a commercial property company who are listed on the London Stock Exchange. This company is multi national and has highly respected reputation. It's also one of the longest established commercial property firms in the UK and has an excellent corporate image and luxury - state of the art - offices .
We are looking for a well spoken , well presented candidate with corporate experience .
Working in this medium size finance team you would be responsible for the following:
Responsible For:
Weekly compiling of chasing letters
Daily chasing of Commercial / corporate debts via telephone (approx 80 per day)
Communicating with the Job Owners in respect of their outstanding invoices
Answering client queries
Credit Note Analysis
Matching credit notes raised with corresponding invoices
Continual monitoring of the 2 month and over debtor analysis
Ensure the two months and over debtor balance is as low as possible in preparation for the monthly bad debt provision, usually under 10% of total debt c.GBP2m.
Ad hoc Cover for Banking Clerk which includes:
Allocation of cheques received
Allocation of monies received direct into bank accounts
Investigation of unallocated receipts
Arranging transfers of monies to correct bank accounts
Arranging cheque requests for refunds of incorrectly received monies
Arranging for return payments via Barclays
The ideal candidate will need at least 2 years experience in Credit Control in a large company
Good communication skills both verbal and written
Experience within daily banking, allocation of monies and problem solving is essential.
