The Job,
The focus of this specialised, technically oriented position is on meeting and exceeding high standards of accuracy and quality based on established systems, technologies and guidelines.
A key aspect of the job includes the development of sound, carefully thought-out solutions. Strength in technical problem solving based on expertise and experience, and a strong commitment to efficiently achieve high quality results is required. A hard working, persevering, self-disciplined approach to achieving accurate, detailed work is essential.
The major duties of this job will require attention to detail, and must be done correctly. At the same time job tasks will vary rather than be repetitive, and will require a faster-than-average pace in order to complete work requirements.
This job allows for autonomy and independence, and is primarily self-reliant but only within a clearly structured and defined framework of responsibility outlined by management.

Tasks and Responsibilities
* Development of web based applications using PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSP, CSS and SQL
* Work according to technical and graphical specifications
* Tracking down and fixing bugs in existing code
* Work as part of the development and support teams
* Document new and amended code in a responsible way
* Using version control software to control the release of changes
* Must keep security and compatibility in mind at all times during the development process.
* Should test all code to a very high standard before delivery.
Applicants must have the following skills:
* Excellent and proven HTML skills
* Excellent and proven PHP skills.
* Excellent and proven JavaScript & AJAX skills
* Excellent and proven SQL skills
* Excellent and proven CSS skills
* Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities.
* Good knowledge of general web topography and infrastructure
* Web server experience (IIS or Apache) is a plus.
* Experience in developing in a security sensitive environment.
* Proven capability and learning agility.
* Being able to meet given deadlines
* A thorough and clear way of writing documentation for produced code
* Excellent verbal, written and listening skills are required to communicate with team members and users at all levels.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Some knowledge of image manipulation is a plus
Experience:
* You will have 3-5 years experience in web application development and will be actively looking to develop further by learning new skills.
