Household help
We are a busy family with a boy (5) and a girl (6) and we need help with general housekeeping in particular cleaning, washing, ironing, washing up and cooking. We need help for 5 hours, 3 days a week, occasionally extending into the evening for babysitting.
We live in a 4-bedroom house with a large garden in Chiswick, West London, close to Gunnersbury and Chiswick Park tube stations (District Line) and close to Chiswick High Road with lots of buses.
Suggested hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 2pm-7pm, with occasional extension to 10/11pm. Availability for baby-sitting on other evenings would be great as well. We offer GBP8/hour.
The list of tasks is endless (!) but let me try to get the key ones down:
1) CLEANING our large house (we are a bit obsessive about the house being clean and tidy at all times!)
2) Washing, drying, folding and ironing of the family's laundry including the bed-linen
3) Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy including emptying the dishwasher and washing up pots and pans
4) Cook simple meals for the family (and for the freezer)
5) Help with the children including
- occasional pick-up from school and taking to local after school activities
- dinner time
- bath-time
6) Other stuff including help in the garden, cleaning shoes, cleaning horse tack, errands.
We are looking for an organised person with cleaning and housekeeping experience, a non-smoker, someone really tidy and fuzzy about cleaning, with a car would be nice but not essential.
The position is available immediately, but can wait until mid April for the right person.
