Css Web Designer
Linex Legal is a global online publishing company with operations in Australia, Europe and North America.
We are looking for an experienced Web-Designer to work initially 1-2 days per week in-house. The role may develop into full time in due course. The applicant will need to be 110% efficient with at least 2 years solid web design history, someone who can take any business or concept and come up with workable designs within a day, and without guidance. The applicant will need to demonstrate ability to hand code designs using valid Xhtml/CSS to a fully functional site W3C compatible within no time.
What You Will Be Doing:
You will be given tasks to improve sections or areas of the website and will be required to create and implement styles and designs in short timescales (usually within a day).
This will involve:
* Gathering requirements
* Quickly creating and modifying mock-up images
* Implementing those images into accessible XHTML and CSS and exporting optimized graphics where necessary.
* Liaising with developers to implement your designs into the current CSS and PHP pages
* You will also work closely with the development team to refine the current designs and ensure new designs are implemented within, or as logical extensions, to current frameworks.
Essential Skills:
* Adobe Acrobat Professional.
* Adobe Photoshop CS2 or CS3.
* Adobe Illustrator CS2 or CS3.
* Xhtml (hand coded).
* CSS (hand coded).
* Adobe Flash 8 (with working Action Script knowledge)
What's more likely to get you a response from us:
* Demonstration of a good command of the English language (written and oral)
* Evidence of a formal qualification in a design related field (applicants with Computer Science degrees and so on, please don't waste your time). Graduates are welcome but you must be able to provide everything in this list.
* You can present a large portfolio of high quality, finished online work you have entirely designed and built.
