Physics Science Teacher 28,425 to GBP38,058 Pay Scale - ref

The Science Department consists of seven teachers (two are part-time). There are six laboratories and one lab technician.
In years 7, 8 and 9, the pupils are taught a combined science programme we have devised ourselves. They do not follow the National Curriculum or take SATs.
21st Century Science is taught at GCSE. We will expect the successful candidate to share the responsibility for developing the teaching programme for the physics modules within the 21st Century specification in conjunction with the senior subject specialist.
At AS/A2 only separate sciences are taught. We use OCR Syllabus B [Advancing Physics].
The new appointee would be expected to teach the full age range from Year 7 to Year 13 and help in the continuing development of courses. A willingness and an ability to help ensure that all relevant departmental paperwork is completed efficiently will be advantageous. This post may suit an NQT – full induction will be provided.
We liaise with the Lower School on their programme of study and the links with Middle School science. We regularly undertake joint projects with Technology, Art and Geography.
The school has a PC network and there are desktop computers in each lab and class sets of Wi-Fi laptops. Computer experience would be an advantage.
We do expect staff to play a full role in the life of the school including undertaking pastoral responsibilities and taking students on Camps. For those of you who may be interested: The school has recently built 3 sailing dinghies and is developing sailing throughout the school.
The School pays the Outer London Main Scale plus a supplement and GTC Allowance (GBP28,425 to GBP38,058 pa).
