General Manager GBP25,000 p.a.
An opportunity has arisen to work as a General Manager for a young, expanding family-owned e-commerce business who value their online presence greatly.
The role
As an experienced online manager, you'll know just what's needed to keep Inspirations Bathrooms at the forefront of online innovation. You'll drive the commercial management of the business, including sales analysis, merchandising, promotions and inventory management. You'll also bring together both the on and offline areas of the company, and work with PR and press advertising.
What we are looking for
It is essential that you have a solid understanding of the key areas of online and/or digital marketing such as PPC, SEO and affiliate marketing. With experience of online channel or product management, you'll have no trouble making your mark from the moment you join Inspirations Bathrooms. You'll have strong commercial acumen, great project management skills and the ability to use research and analysis to drive activity and achieve results. You'll also be expert in organising and planning, and able to turn your mind to conceptual and analytical thinking. A background in customer-led organisation or familiarity with online site project delivery is desirable, but it's your passion for helping Inspirations Bathrooms achieve its aims that we'll value more than anything.
Candidate requirements
* Extensive experience working within new media, preferably in a portal/channel management role
* User focused, with a good understanding of consumer behaviour online and how it can be influenced
* Experience of qualitative and quantitative research and how it can overlay onto a consumer database
* Good understanding of supply chain management
* Strong organisational and time-management skills - ability to prioritise, organise a varied and full workload and work under pressure
* Strong interpersonal skills - ability to get along with a variety of people
* Proactive attitude: able to spot project-based issues ahead of time and propose appropriate solutions
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* IT literate with leading database technology and CRM applications
* Passionate about the customer and all elements of the customer experience
* Can operate at all levels - no task is beneath him/her
You should be available for interview at the end of this week or early next week and be available to start on the week commencing 3rd March on a one-month probationary period.
