Our client, a World renowned media player is giving you the opportunity to join their entry level media sales team and to become a key player in the successes of their already well established and powerful media products. This media company only get work within successful and profitable markets, so some of the areas you would work within will be law, accountancy, PR or design to name a few. The media sales team at this company is the hub of activity, and the driving force behind the business as without media sales revenue the other departments could not exist.
What will I do?
As a media sales executive you will sell advertising space either in magazines or websites and you will be working within a team, to a team target. You will be set individual and team targets and upon successful completion of them you will be rewarded in the most generous way!
Initially you will attend a graduate training programme tailored to your needs, which will prepare you for the role ahead. As you will be selling on well established products the targets set will be achievable and throughout your career you will receive massive amounts of training and development as management within this company is reachable within 3 years. I.e. in 3 years you could be running your own sales team.
Our client are particularly interested in seeing candidates who have work experience, either in a retail sales environment or bar work, and it is essential upon applying that you know why you want to get into media sales!
What do I get as a media sales executive?
You will be paid a generous basic salary of GBP16,000 - GBP18,000 rising upon 3 months probation and reviewed (with the chance of another increase!) at 6, 9 and 12 month intervals! You will be paid uncapped commission, which means that the more work you put in, the more money you can earn! Other benefits of working for this global media house are that you will get 20 days holiday a year + Christmas, bank holidays and weekends off and you will be allocated one duvet day a year! In addition to this there are 2 fully expensed parties you must attend, you will have team away days and you will have the opportunity to win holidays to the Maldives, Barbados and the USA etc.
