Server Support Technician
An IT support company looking for an energetic and competent Server Support Technician.
The ideal candidate must be able to build and install various types of servers, along with creating and implementing AD user templates, Group policy, etc. The candidate must have excellent working knowledge of Active Directory in MS Small Business Server and full Microsoft Server environments. Furthermore, the candidate must have experience of implementing routing and remote access. Also, strong Exchange skills in both Small Business Server's exchange and the full version are essential.
The successful candidate will be involved in building, imagining, updating, migrating and implementing branded and non-branded servers.
Day to day tasks and activities will include managing Backups, logs, outstanding call logs and some user issues
* The successful candidate MUST have at least 5 years experience in all of the above
Personal skills: Must be methodical, a self starter able to use their initiative and a good problem solver. You will be an excellent team player as well as having the skills to communicate effectively with all clients.
Hours of work: 10:00am – 7:30pm; candidates must be flexible with regard to hours, which may include some evening and weekend work.
Location: Based near Swiss Cottage, Northwest London. Some travel to clients' offices is essential. Applicants must be resident in the UK (and hold relevant work permits) and have excellent written and oral English communication skills.

Desirable additional skills:
Data Backup and Disaster Recovery
Database Management (SQL, ACCESS, Dbase) Knowledge of FreeBSD
