Software Engineer
We are a start-up company that develops an integrated desktop client + web-based research network for managing, exploring, and sharing scientific knowledge. Our mission is to revolutionize the way students and researchers work on a daily basis, and create the world‘s largest academic community.
We are looking for an energetic, bright individual to join us as a Software Engineer.
Responsibilities:
* Conceptualize, design and implement front- and backend software components
* Code using primarily C++ in a Qt Framework
* Work with a offshore team of software developers
* Conduct design and code reviews
* Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources
* Potentially become the Chief Software Architect
Since we are a small team, you will quickly take over major responsibility for the product.
Requirements:

* Computer Science degree or related field preferred
* Experience building large-scale client-server applications
* Expert knowledge developing and debugging in C/C++
* Knowledge of PHP and SQL a plus
