It Support Field Engineer
IT Support Company based in Central London is looking to employ an IT Support field engineer to travel in and around Central London on a company scooter and provide 2nd line support to their clients.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* provide technical support and assistance via telephone, email, remote and on-site support
* resolve escalated 2nd line support calls to client's queries and problems in a timely manner
* diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
* visit clients in and around Central London on company scooter
* provide clear telephone and on-site support to non-technical users
* assist in any other general tasks that may arise
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: (APPLICANTS MUST HAVE…)
* minimum of 18 months UK based commercial experience in IT support role
* Hands on, day to day experience and technical knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 Servers and workstations, Active Directory, Exchange, ISA, TCP/IP in a multi-user environment
* good fault diagnosis of hardware and software issues
* comprehensive understanding of wired and wireless networking principles, firewalls, routers etc
* UK driving licence (Do NOT apply if you only have international driving licence)
* excellent customer facing skills, telephone manner, punctuality and timekeeping are of paramount importance
* good communication (both verbal and written) and organisational skills
* ability to prioritise calls and be capable of working under pressure
SECONDARY REQUIREMENTS:
* experience providing 3rd line support is an advantage
* Knowledge and experience of supporting MAC computers (OS 9, OS X) is an advantage
* friendly, patient, organised and assertive individual who can work as part of a team
* MCP / MCSE level or higher
Hours: 40 hour week (Mon to Fri: 9.30am til 6pm)
Start Date: POSITION AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY
Salary: GBP21k to GBP28k depending on skills and experience
