Travelfusion.com – the leading internet travel search technology company is seeking an IT manager who can share our vision and is interested in a challenging role within a very dynamic environment. The company is experiencing extremely rapid growth and is looking for an IT leader to manage it's fast evolving IT team.
Responsibilities:
- managing a large development team with hands on supervision
- managing a large systems IT infrastructure based on Linux/Windows/Apache/Java
- managing the software development and operational tools
- managing the core system architecture and key system design components
- managing the system performance, applications and software packages
- reporting directly to the CEO
Essential skills & experience:
- 4+ years proven experience in managing large scale internet (Linux based) systems, architecture and design
- Proven experience in managing a software development team
- Strong project management and leadership experience and skills
- solid knowledge and experience with all emerging enterprise and the latest Java application technologies
- Strong programming background in particular in Java and proven system design experience in J2EE and complex e-commerce applications and distributed systems
- Comprehensive database experience especially with mySQL
- Team player, able to motivate, ability to cope with a pressurized environment
- Extremely well organized, client facing skills and a strong planner and visionary
