architect: Riba Part 3 qualified or equivalent: William Tozer architecture and design
We are currently looking to recruit a Part 3 qualified Architect, or a candidate with an equivalent qualification from the NZIA, RAIA or other national professional institute and interested in obtaining RIBA Part 3 qualification in the next 12 months. The position would best suit candidates with 1-4 years of experience post-Part 2 / 5th year of architecture school. We would be happy to employ someone looking for a career role, or someone looking to get a year or more of experience before setting up their own practice or moving on.
Our small practice specialises in residential extensions, but also undertakes other residential and small commercial projects. The position will require the successful candidate to work simultaneously on a collection of projects, working with the practice principal and a team of Part 1 Architectural Assistants to develop designs, produce documentation, and follow projects through construction. The successful candidate will have experience producing documentation and running projects on site, but the role will require them to possess or develop through the role the ability to manage this process working with the Architectural Assistants. Alongside the project work, the role will also encompass involvement in most aspects of the day-to-day operation of the practice.
We use Vectorworks, but we don't mind if you're not familiar with this software, as anyone capable of the role will pick it up very quickly.
