Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for shift team motivation via day-to-day communication and feedback to ensure a consistent delivery of service.
2. Overseeing subcontractor management to provided effective and efficient delivery of service. Including regular reviews of subcontractors performance in line with client processes.
3. Carry out random audits to guarantee quality of work completed, PPM, tools, processes, scenarios and engineering procedures. Records to be kept for inspection by client. Assess all aspects of subcontractor performance to provide my client with value for money.
4. The provision of leadership to ensure that contractual commitments are met and exceeded. Involvement in regular meetings to monitor service delivery.
5. Identification of strategic maintenance opportunities for improving service delivery and reducing risks.
6. Responsible for the embedding of contract policies and processes, within the maintenance team. Overseeing shift team meetings to provide team focus and ownership through out all aspects of the contract.
7. Maintaining health and safety standards encompassing all operations, including subcontractors, carried out in line with the company's health and safety policy.
8. Overseeing staffing structures and subcontractors to provide necessary recourses to support peaks and troughs without compromising service delivery standards.
9. Maintaining the competency level required by the team, to provide effective resources to meet contract commitments. Recommendation and implementation of training requirements to maintain competency levels and identifying succession planning requirements as necessary. Thus maintaining service delivery levels.
10. Ensure that site based systems are kept up to date and maintained in an accurate and timely manner. Site based systems include but are not limited to processes, maps and standard operating procedures.
11. Maintain the appropriate control systems to guarantee that statutory, mandatory and contractual commitments are met thus reducing risks.
12. Imbed and maintain a customer focus within the maintenance team and subcontractors to provide a superior level of service for the client. Interact with engineering manager to provide a communication channel to aid effective contract performance.
13. Providing the necessary information to the account manager and engineering manager to allow effective monitoring of contract performance in terms of service level agreements and key performance indicators.
Accountabilities
1 Reporting to the Contract Account Manager on a day-to-day basis.
2 Accountable day-to-day to both internal & external client contacts.
3 Accountable for the contact team and relevant sub-contractors.
4 Accountable for service delivery commitments.
5 Line management responsibility for a contract team and relevant subcontractors.
6 Compliance with legislation and statutory requirements.
7 Ensure PPM system is maintained correctly.
8 Responsible for ensuring Shift Log is reviewed daily and exception reports are issued.
9 Covering for the account manager where applicable.
Personal Specification
Education
A good general education is essential, probably to HNC.
Training
Incumbents must be able to demonstrate a career showing continuous personal development.
Up to date technical knowledge.
Experience
[Essential]
Managerial experience at Engineering Manager or Technical Manager Level within technical and or hard services are essential.
Practical experience must include recruitment and line management/supervisory experience.
[Desirable]
The development and review of teams, subcontractors, appraisal and the application of effective people management practice.
Aptitudes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
