Night Shift Electrician - Mon-Thurs
Harrods in Knightsbridge are looking to recruit a qualified electrician to work on their nights shift.
Responsibilities will include:
Carrying out testing and inspection duties as directed by the Senior Technician or Electrical Manager to the requirements of the most recent edition of the IEE regulations.
To carry out various small work installations during the evening shift so as not to disturb normal operation of the store.
To carry out various maintenance duties during the evening shift which can not be completed during store opening hours.
To be on hand in the case of engineering failures/emergencies.
Ensure all Health and Safety/Legal requirements are met.
Report back on any issues to the Senior Technician or Electrical Manager.
Activities will be as follows:
40% small works including lighting upgrades, re-wires etc
40% testing and inspection ie distribution board surveys, fixed wiring testing, PAT, visual inspections etc.
20% maintenance on incomplete day work and restricted access areas.
Applicants must:
Be suitably qualified to a minimum of City and Guilds 236 Electrical
Installation Part 1 and 11
Possess substantial experience as a qualified Electrician.
Be well motivated and able to work under pressure with very little supervision.
Be able to communicate effectively with other members of staff at all levels.
Hours of work will be 7.30pm-6.30am Mon-Thurs
