We are an independant gastro pub serving very good traditional seasonal, primarily brittish food. Our menu changes on a daily basis. We are based between camden and islington.
We are not a chain pub that knocks out burgers and pre packaged rubbish, and calls itself a gastro pub.
All our dishes are created from scratch from fresh seasonal produce.
we are looking for an experienced chef for around 5 shifts a week (afternoons/evenings and weekends). You will need to be confident enough to manage the kitchen on your own on less busy days.
You will have four or five years experience working in a good london based restaurant or decent gastro pub, you will speak fluent english and be super passionate about food and be keen to learn and progress. We take our time making nice stocks and putting lots of love into the food. We would expect someone familiar with pubs like the landsdowne, st. Johns, the duke of cambridge, the royal oak, the eagle, the lord stanley etc. No nonsense fresh seasonal brittish food cooked well.
If you are highly strung and like to shout and scream a lot this may not be for you, we are looking for someone calm and collected. English as a first language would be a big plus.
The salary would depend on your experience but would be very competative.
