Project Accountant - TOP Architects - CITY
Our client, global Architects in the City is currently recruiting for a Project Accountant to join their accounts department. This role is concentrating on projects and much of your time will be spent liaising with in-house Project leaders and directors amongst others, so personal skills are important for this role to be successful.
We are seeking an individual who is proactive and confident in your own abilities as well as having a collaborative approach to working - somebody that is used to working on project work or at the very least used to managing budgets would be well suited. A good team worker and sense of humour is essential.
? Main aim of the role is to take full responsibility for all project related information on Vision software and to ensure accuracy.
? Alert management of any anomalies, discrepancies or problems as required.
? Generate required or new reports
Projects
? Maintain all current jobs including billing terms
? Ensure that project resourcing is maintained by project leaders on a timely basis
? Take ownership/responsibility of all information posted to Vision projects
? Update billing categories as appropriate
Reporting
? Generate and review all appropriate standard reports - including, utilization, project performance and multipliers
? Report any anomalies in the data
? Alert Project Leaders/Practice Directors on all discrepancies
? Liaise with Project Leaders for possible additional fees for extra hours
? Obtain Project Cash flows and update filing records.
? Handle queries on an ad hoc basis from team leaders.
Sales Ledger
? Review unbilled report with Project Leaders
? Raise accruals/amendments as appropriate
? Prepare and clear drafts with Financial Controller/Financial Director before issue
? Post to ledger and match against project costs
? Make proposals for any deferred/accrued income to Financial Controller
Person specification:
Essential
? A mature confidence and professional attitude
? Ability to communicate with all levels of staff
? Computer literate in Windows NT including Excel and Access
? A self-motivator with the ability to manage own time.
Desirable
? Ideally from a construction background.
? Experience in using Deltek Vision or Advantage accounting software (not essential)
? Experience of working in a client based or time based environment preferred e.g. design, advertising or law.
