Construction Manager- Within M25
Up to £50,000 + Package
We are looking for a construction manager to work on Projects situated around the M25 for this Lead Main Contractor.
Qualifications and Skills
Must be from a construction background
Preferably from an engineering background
CSCS,Site Managers card
Large Contractor background with good evidence of suitable training.
Good technical appreciation of construction and methods
Highly motivated, Confident, Common sense, Proactive, has a keen eye for Detail.
?High organisational skills, Good team leader, who can Multi task
?Can maintain a level of site to a high standard and is health & safety proficient
?A genuine desire to progressing to Project Manager.
?Can manage and motivate others.
?Innovation and flexibility to consider all possible solutions.
?Good people skills and confidently deal with Client / Professional Team.

Tasks and responsibilities
Monitor progress and ensure that the project is on time and on budget;
Take responsibility for the planning, programming, management and co-ordination of the construction project.
Develop sequences and methods of construction to suit particular site conditions.
Finding solutions to problems that may cause delays.
Competent to set up a site at start of project.
Ensure project packages are completed on time, fully compliant and within the agreed budget
Liaising with and supervising the work of the other professionals involved with the project;
Liaising with Local Authorities and neighbours and deal with all necessary formal applications.

Ensuring that quality standards are adhered to, this could involve setting up testing requirements, visual inspections of work, and frequent tours of the site.
Develop team members and delegate to correct levels
Ensuring good records are maintained.
Chairing and Leading regular site meetings with sub-contractors, professional team and site team.
Reviewing, agreeing and implementing safe systems of work.
Weekly site reports to Project Manager and contribute to reports for Project Team meetings.
Regular update on all Health and Safety issues to Project Manager, Ensure necessary safety training is arranged for all staff to satisfy site safety appointments
Ensure Site Safety Register and Safety, Health and Environment Plan is maintained and implemented by other members of site team where necessary.
Carry out regular Health and Safety and fire monitoring with the support and participation of other members of the site team.
Ensure compliance with KL procedures, aware of any new issues and implement changes where necessary
