Underwriter - Employee Benefits Division
Based in East Sussex, we are seeking an additional Underwriter to work within our clients Employee Benefits division, where you will be responsible for Group Life and Group Income Protection quotations and provide technical support to Broker Consultants.
As the successful candidate you will specifically be responsible for underwriting your own split portfolio cases, including 60% new business and 40% existing business. Additionally, you will also be responsible for underwriting renewals and new business quotations, as well as underwriting income protection products such as group risk, disability, death in service etc.
It is essential you have relevant experience within an underwriting role gained within a Life Insurance, IFA, General Insurance or Broker backgrounds. First class interpersonal skills alongside strong administration skills are a must, together with an aptitude for figures.
Educated to GCSE calibre or equivalent at grade C or above in Maths and English essential and ideally FPC/ACII qualified or equivalent, advantageous but not essential.
Salary: £17000 - £20000 per annum + excellent benefits
