Stock Controller - TOP Publishing House
Top Publishing House is currently recruiting for a Stock Controller to join their Educational department. You will be responsible to ensure that optimum stock levels are maintained for all titles on the Education list & reprints are placed at the optimum cost. Take appropriate action to sell off slow moving stock to avoid excess. Highlight dead & unprofitable titles for disposal. Ensure all stock & cost objectives are met.
?Advise on 1st print quantities for new publishing, taking spend, warehousing costs & profitability into account & monitor dues build up
?Liaise with sales & marketing re sales forecasts & special promotions
?Highlight slow selling lines to editorial, marketing & sales to move stock where possible & avoid excess
?Liaise with Sales to remainder slow/dead stock that can not be
? sold through normal channels
? Actively seek new outlets for slow selling backlist titles & series that can not be shifted through normal channels or l Sales
?Constantly review printing policies to help maintain optimum stocks
?Ensure agreed targets are kept within budget
?Target returns & stock variances to reduce stock write off costs
?Warehousing Costs - improve printing & warehousing policies to reduce costs
?Other admin as required

-Computer literate
-Good working knowledge of using Excel spreadsheets
