Learning Support Teacher
We are looking for a Learning Support teacher to work in a secondary school in the North West of London.
The role includes, but is not limited to:
1. To teach and support children with a wide range of Special Educational Needs, including learning, communication, behavioural, sensory and medical needs in a range of contexts, including individual tutoring, small groups, classroom support and informal situations.
2. To be a Key Worker for named high need students.
3. Direct teaching of literacy and numeracy to individuals and small groups of student, including those with Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia)
4. To take part in team teaching and classroom support across the curriculum.
5. To carry out formal and informal assessments of students.
7. To collaborate with colleagues, parents and carers as well as students to produce Individual Education Plans for students.
8. To support the Department's Morning Reading Programme, Lunch Time Club and Homework Support Club.
You must have a teaching qualification and be able to provide references from your last 5 years of employment. You will need to have a current CRB disclosure for the UK or be willing to obtain one and have a legal right to work in the UK.
