Year 6 Teacher- Independant School

Roman Catholic Independent School situated in Central/North London are seeking a first class Primary trained teacher to cover the maternity absence of their Year 6 teacher from 7 April - 10 July 2007. This is a rare opportunity to work in one of the UK's top Independent schools and benefit from excellent teaching resources, professional development opportunities as well as plenty of non-contact time for planning/preparation.

The postholder will be responsible for teaching a class of 18 girls, the majority of which are achieving well above their chronical age. Pupils are extremely motivated and well behaved. The school employs specialist teachers for P.E. Science, Music and Art/Design which means that class teachers have alot of non-contact time.

The school are essentially seeking an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher with excellent curriculum knowledge and experience of SATS who is able to communicate and liaise effectively with parents. Applications from overseas trained teachers (particularly Australian/New Zealand/ South African trained teachers) who have previous long term teaching experience in the UK are welcomed and over the past four years we have placed a number of overseas trained teachers at the school many of whom are still there.
