Operational Risk - Derivatives Banking

Global investment banking institution is seeking to appoint an operational risk analyst to their London office. The role itself will involve the following:-

1. Coordinate, driving and directing effective compliance and operational risk management at the Business Unit level.
2. Implement controls within the Business Unit to meet all regulatory and internal requirements.
3. Ensure proper functioning of day-to-day controls, periodic monitoring activities and timely resolution of risk issues.
4. Ensure a continual drive towards automating processes.
5. Develop risk reporting tools for trend analysis and adhoc reporting.
6. Monitor and proactively act upon operational risk within the Business Unit.

This role does not require any direct experience of an operational risk role per se although applicants should have worked within financial services in some capacity - this would be an excellent opportunity for a candidate working in an operational section of a bank (derivatives / FI or FX ideally) who is looking for a step up from working on a specific business stream - this role will straddle this banks entire operational enterprise and will give.
