Credit Trading Product Controller

Responsibilities:

- Assessment and approval of New Business Proposals ? ensuring that new proposals can be booked and valued appropriately in the Back Office. Co-ordinating signoff for Finance (including Financial Control and Regulatory Reporting)

- Management of daily and month end P/L and Balance Sheet Reporting Process ? submitting results within the month end deadlines, ensuring Front to Back Office systems are reconciled, validating the assets and liabilities on the balance sheet through appropriate price testing procedures, ensuring appropriate provisions are booked including adherence with IFRS

- Active participation in new systems initiatives ? both improving the tools available in Product Control for Credit Trading, and in wider Finance initiatives.

- Identify improvements in the Product Control process to obtain efficiencies and improve key controls. Where appropriate obtain IT resources to implement.

- Ensure successful implementation of new Regulatory requirements on own area, including Sarbanes Oxley and Basel II.

The successful candidate will hold a numerate honours degree, have relevant previous exposure to technical credit products and knowledge of price testing and valuation techniques.
