CFD Operations

The Company

City based European investment bank is looking for someone with equity and / or fixed settlements experience to join their CFD operations team.

Unlike other large City based banks, this company offers a work-life balance and will give not only the opportunity to learn CFD's, but also manage and meet your own clients.

The Role

Settlements Officer for CFD's, Equities, Bonds and Treasury products.

The role reports to the supervisor of the Bond/Equity and CFD Operations department and will be working within a team of five people who are allocated either specific clients or CFD responsibilities with some additional ad hoc tasks.

The Settlements Officer will initially be responsible for learning the CFD day-to-day business to a high standard, which involves liaising with the Front Office, resolving trade queries and pricing issues and daily reconciliations.

In addition, he/she will learn the Model B settlement roles to assist with holiday cover and high business volumes. This will involve liaising with clients over the telephone to resolve settlement queries and reporting information back to our trade arrangers. Occasional clients visits and meetings are required.

On a daily basis, there are tasks that are to be completed to specific deadlines that span the whole department. These are: Cash Reconciliations Production and resolution Position Reconciliations Production and resolution Dividends and Corporate Actions Settlement status requests Trade input and amendments Fails reporting Produce DVP/RVP messages via Swift/Fax or Email Problem investigation and resolution Essential communication and escalation to Manager Request/Action Static Data set up requirements Market Data Investigation Pricing/Corporate Actions

Salary & Benefits

£22 per hour
