Product Controller

A position has arisen for a candidate who will be responsible for helping to clear the backlog on Structured Trade Reviews (STR) and ensuring that all metric targets have been met.

The STR is performed on all trades that are not booked through strategic architecture and covers the front office and back office representation of the trade.

The STR reconciles between the two bookings ensuring consistency, and that all elements of the trade have been correctly captured.

The candidate will be exposed to a wide variety of complex Interest Rate and FX based derivatives. For example structured CMS trades, inflation, quanto and long dated FX linked derivatives are all commonly traded, and will be covered by STR.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, and have previous experience working in a commercial/ professional environment - ideally prior Investment Banking experience. They need to have a good understanding of the fundamentals of derivatives including their valuation and obviously any experience with working on derivatives (ideally exotic) would be an advantage. Good spreadsheet skills are essential.
