Corporate Actions Manager
The Company
Robert Half Financial Services Group are looking for a Corporate Actions Manager to support the Corporate Actions Senior Manager in ensuring operational excellence in all areas of corporate actions, in line with agreed strategic and personal objectives. The jobholder has accountability for the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all processing and control activities within their respective areas of Corporate Actions as well as contributing to the implementation of project and market driven changes as required. The jobholder is jointly responsible and accountable, with the relevant Senior Manager, for the adherence and adoption of standards and best practice in order to maintain efficiency and control, minimise operational/financial risk and provide excellent client service.
The Role
Principal Accountabilities Ô Daily Work : Ensure staff resources are effectively utilised to support daily work. Work with colleagues across all areas of Corporate Actions and other areas of the business to share resources as required. Escalate staff resource issues to Senior Manager where necessary Ensure intra day and end of day checks are complete, including iMCFs. Ensure adherence to established procedures and controls Escalate issues/concerns to Senior Manager, including staff issues, compliance breaches, errors, losses and near misses on a timely basis and in accordance with defined escalation procedures. Ensure accurate and timely resolution of processing exceptions. Handle complex queries ensuring timely resolution. Assist with processing of events during periods of high volumes/staff shortages Market and Product Development : Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the securities market and associated market infrastructure. Represent IFS with authority and professionalism when dealing with clients, industry bodies and other third parties. Client Development : Work with colleagues across business areas to ensure Corporate Action business and system solutions are supported and implemented in accordance with given timelines. Work with colleagues across business areas to ensure Corporate Actions fully interface with other areas of the business. Develop internal and external relationships to support processing efficiencies, improve client service and/or reduce operational/client risk. Provide support to the Corporate Actions Client Service Team with technical and market knowledge to aid efficient and accurate responses to client queries in respect of Corporate Action related queries. Conduct walkthroughs of the Corporate Action processes to new/existing clients as required. Operational Management : Work with the Senior Manager to ensure that the most appropriate organisational structures, procedures and controls are utilised to support Corporate Actions services. Ensure effective two-way communication process across area of responsibility. Recruit/retain appropriate staff to support Corporate Action requirements. Ensure staff are adequately trained to support all Corporate Action activities within area of responsibility.

£60,000
