The Company
VAT Specialist
My client, a leading supplier of high performance storage networking solutions, has an immediate need for a Value Added Tax (VAT) Specialist in their Ireland offices.
Reporting to the Tax Director in the US and the Financial Controller in Dublin, this position is responsible for managing and administering the activities required to ensure compliance with VAT laws and regulations
The Role
Prepare and file or manage the preparation and filing of all VAT returns Worldwide.
Conduct research of difficult VAT issues. Analyses and documents results.
Assist Operations in the negotiation of supply chain agreements to ensure compliance with VAT requirements.
Obtain and maintain VAT registrations for all QLogic entities, customers, and vendors as required.
Manage all VAT-related audits.
Maintain appropriate VAT files.
Ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees by complying with company Affirmative Action goals, programs and policies.
Perform related and other duties as required.
The Person
Bachelors degree in a business or financial field.
Minimum of 4 5 years experience related to VAT.
Strong relevant experience in VAT principles within a high volume manufacturing environment, preferably hi-tech.
Commitment to quality, and the ability and willingness to set priorities and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Strong computer skills required including Internet, Outlook, Word and Excel.
Salary & Benefits
Salary will be in the region of 45,000 but flexible on meeting the right person. You will also have the opportunity to pursue professional exams such as AITI or Indirect Tax exams (the company will fully support you in this). Circa 8% annual bonus.
