Our client is arguably the world's largest book distributor. In business for over 150 years they have developed a reputation for service and are the wholesaler of choice to libraries and retail around the globe. Through fast delivery, high fill rates and a responsive attitude to customer care they are experiencing continued growth and now have an exciting vacancy for a National Sales Manager who resides within 1 1/2 hours of their Oxfordshire office.
As the National Sales Manager you will lead a team of 17 field based sales executives who cover the leisure market within England. It is anticipated that you will spend approximately one day per week at our clients head office with the remainder of your time spent in the field liaising within the team to drive revenue inline with company objectives. This hands-on role covers every aspect of team management and will certainly involve the development and roll-out of sales strategy.
The ideal candidate will be degree educated and posses 3-5 years experience managing national, regional or district wholesale sales teams. You will be a natural leader with a can do attitude, high personal expectations and proven abilities in sales management, account management, training, communication, negotiation and merchandising with a strong sales focus.
The successful candidate can expect a base salary of 50k plus a bonus scheme and additional benefits.
