SEN DT Teacher
Great opportunity for a Design Technology teacher looking to work with EBD children.
We require a Design and Technology (CDT) Teacher for PRU unit in Wiltshire for a permanent post.
You will be teaching KS2 3 and 4 (low ability). This is an all Boys' School, and the children are troubled and need their social skills building and their self esteem restored (they spit swear and are very unruly) by a patient, understanding, committed and creative teacher.
The school has a maximum capacity for 25 pupils but there are currently 16 on role, so class sizes are between 2 and 6. It is also a residential school with 3 houses, each house accommodating 8 boys. The School has 6 qualified teachers and 6 LSA's, so you will be joining a small friendly team.
A Specialism in CDT is preferred and special experience strongly desired although PRU experience is advantageous but not essential.
The School's location is in a 250 acre site in beautiful countryside and the school is well resourced and equipped. A driving licence is essential as the school is off the beaten track.
This post would suit someone with an air of authority, who is patient and calm and has the ability to relate to EBD pupils.
The right candidate will need to hold all relevant qualifications and submit to the required background checks.
