Assistant Manager - Business Continuity
The Company
Robert Half Financial Services Group are looking for an Assistant Manager Business Continuity. This role will assist the Business Continuity Manager to ensure that the international entities in Corporate and Investment Banking Division have the capacity and plans to recover from a business interruption event and revert back to normal business operation in an orderly fashion within the shortest possible time, in accordance with Group Risk policies and standards. The role is primarily for London based departments, but has an international oversight element. This role also plays a key part in the Crisis Management Team.
The Role
Main Responsibilities Provide cover and assistance or the Business Continuity Manager addressing the following aspects of the role: Ensure that CIB Intl. recovery plans, emergency contact lists and Crisis Management procedures are kept current with changes to the operating environment. Assist with the deployment and maintenance of business continuity software support tools to the London business units. Potential future deployment to international locations is being considered. Assist with the development and delivery of a programme of business and technical infrastructure recovery testing and exercises, designed to ensure that all business functions are regularly tested in accordance to their criticality and risk profile. Be a contact point for staff awareness campaign to promote full engagement by the business and support teams across all operational units of CIB Intl. Manage the web site and other communication portals to push intelligence about our recovery condition to staff and business managers. Assist with training workshops and conduct periodic presentations. Work with Business Managers in all critical departments, and Regional Heads in overseas locations, to conduct regular Business Impact Analysis to identify critical business recovery objectives as required by Group Risk Policies Analyse the BCM strategy to ensure it continues to meet business requirements. Reporting, Provide input to Quarterly CIB Intl. BCM status updates to Group Risk and Operational Risk Committee, Provide input to Annual status updates to Group Risk and Board Risk Management Committee. Audit Monitoring and oversight of issues raised through audit and compliance reviews of all CIB Intl. locations and processes. Supplier relationship management Work with the Business Continuity Manager to manage the relationship with our recovery service vendor, provide input to periodic formal reviews of our recovery service vendor, ensuring we receive the required levels of service for a competitive price. Research Maintain understanding of current business continuity trends. Maintain oversight of the market to ensure appropriate support tools and software applications are being used to meet the business continuity needs of the Bank
