Project & Departmental Administrator- Technology


Overview of the Department/Section:
IT is an integral function within a full Investment Bank. IT comprises three main areas:- IT Development, responsible for developing, integrating and supporting numerous trading systems such as Fidessa, Murex, Martini and Syn. IT Production is responsible for the IT Infrastructure such as Blade PC¡¦s, Helpdesk, Unix systems and database, Networks and Market Data and Business Protection is responsible for Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Change Management. The IT department is a thriving enterprise, interacting with all areas of MUSI including the Front Office, undergoes constant change and delivers many new systems and business changes.
Main purpose of the role:
To provide administrative support, primarily to the Head of Derivatives Technology and to the Murex team as and when needed. Duties will include support for projects, compiling reports, booking travel arrangements and general diary management.
Key Responsibilities:
?« Meeting Booking and co-ordination, including minute taking and preparation of presentations.
?« Collecting and collating weekly status reports for the team.
?« Ordering of software, hardware, equipment and general supplies for the team.
?« Co-ordination of new resource administration and set up, including liaison with Human Resources and Accounts to ensure budget compliance.
?« Monitoring of project budget and reporting on this when required.
?« Production and upkeep of Microsoft Project Programme Plans for the Strategic project.
?« Co-ordination of test activities for various Business areas.
Skills & Experience:
Essential
?« Educated to A-level standard or equivalent
?« Strong Organisational Skills
?« A minimum of 12 months administrative experience
?« Experience of preparing presentations
?« Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point
?« Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desirable
?« Financial Product Knowledge

?« Confident communicator who is able to deal with all levels of management
?« Flexible attitude to work
?« Adaptable to dynamic environments


Salary:
25k-28k salary.
